OA Elections
Scouts may be eligible to be elected into the Order of the Arrow. This is an honorary camping fraternity of Scouting America. To be considered, a Scout must be at least First Class rank and have completed 15 nights of camping - which must include one long term camp. Read more about the program, it's rich history throughout Scouting, special events coming up and what it means to be an Arrowman here: https://oa-scouting.org/
Scouts should check their camping log in their Scout Handbook to verify if they have the required number of camping nights. You may only count one summer camp or high adventure experience towards the 15 total nights.
Members of the OA are elected each year by their fellow Scouts. We will hold our elections on March 3 during the Troop meeting. A representative of Catawba Lodge #459 will describe the program and answer any questions prior to conducting the election.
There are three levels of Arrowmen - Ordeal, Brotherhood and Vigil. If you qualify and want to be considered for membership, you must let Rob Smith know by February 24 so you may be on the ballot.
